I have been selected as the artist in residence for Bush Intercontinental airport

Over the next three months I will be painting at the airport, producing a body of work exclusive to the venue that includes the participation of travelers and airport workers.

When a painting is completed, it will be posted here with the names of all of those who assisted me in the process.

At least one painting will be retained by the Houston Airport System for their permanent collection, the others will be available for purchase here or through Reeves Art and Design.

This is the first painting to be completed at the Airport and I’d like to thank Karen, Latoya, Kin, Connie and Emily for their invaluable help!

The painting is called “Airport 1”, its 44” in diameter and is available.

This is painting number three from the airport series. I had a lot of help. I’d like to thank Ronnie, Jeff, Kristen, Alejandro, Rocio, Michelle, Quint, Austin, Ericka, Carol, Vicki, Precious, Mikhayla, Novlette and Bernadette.

This is “Airport #3” at 44” and is unavailable

This is the fourth painting completed at the airport. I had help from Lucas, London Thomas, Adrian and Jorge (plus a few who left before sharing their names).

“Painting #4” 36” diameter and this is available.

This is the fifth painting undertaken at Terminal A, IAH, and I had a lot of help. Alana, Sabrina, Hannah, Tammy, Kish, Colton, Stephanie, Rajeev, the Hogans, Liz from Canada, Tianna Collins, Clemente Martinez from HISD, Liam, Lisa, Wendy, Olga, Brandi and Reneé.

The human interactions make the paintings more than just circles. These are records of movement and emotion from the tired, the excited, the young and the old, but most of all, the curious.
